FaceTime on Android and Windows

You can join an invited FaceTime call in a browser. Installing an Android emulator is not the way to get Apple’s FaceTime app on a Windows PC.

What you need before joining

Ask someone using a supported Apple device to create and share a FaceTime link. Apple’s instructions specify an up-to-date Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser for Android and Windows participants. You also need an internet connection and a working microphone; a camera is needed if you want to send video.

Join an invitation step by step

  1. Open the link sent by the organiser in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Enter the name you want other participants to see and continue.
  3. Allow the browser to use your camera and microphone when prompted.
  4. Select Join and wait for the host to admit you.
  5. Use the call controls to mute your microphone or turn your camera off; choose Leave when finished.

If the picture or sound does not work

Start with the browser’s site permissions. A camera blocked for this website will remain unavailable even when the camera works elsewhere. Close other apps using the same camera, check your selected audio device, and reconnect a headset if the microphone is silent. If the page does not load, ask the host to resend the complete invitation.

Understand the browser’s limits

Joining a link is different from installing FaceTime. Browser guests do not get every feature available in Apple’s app. Apple lists SharePlay and screen sharing as unavailable on the web. Check the official instructions before planning a call around those features.

This replaces the old homepage’s emulator installation advice. There is no FaceTime installer or APK hosted on Bodamargarita.
